We are seeking a qualified Operations Associate IMMEDIATELY for a remote contract position with an Investment Management company in Los Angeles!!  This role will assist the Director of Operations to complete various tasks related to the running and functionality of the organization.  This is a one year temporary assignment.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years’ experience is asset management and specializes in trade operations and investment accounting.

About the role:

  • Support daily investment operations
  • Onboard client accounts (client onboarding, coordinating with sales team and other departments, establishing/integrating procedures with IAAs, compliance, global funds management)
  • Provide operational services to clients, maintain data integrity, trade operations, investment accounting/reconciliations, proxy voting, corporate action voting, monthly performance review, resolution of daily issues
  • Assist with enforcing controls (emphasis on Accounting, OMS, and post trade processes)
  • Provide ad hoc, high profile, monthly and quarterly client reporting
  • Monitor technology vendors and connectivity with data sources and assist with trouble shooting daily issues (CRM, Investment Tools, ISS, GWP, GWPA, Pages, etc.)
  • Be aware of and assist with firm wide technology needs and requirements
  • Ensure internal processes and procedures to promote compliance based on SLAs requirements of institutional, dual contract, wealth advisory, and wrap business segments.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements

About the candidate:

  • BA/BS degree (MUST)
  • 5+ years’ experience in asset management industry (MUST)
  • 1+ years’ experience with trade operations and investment accounting (MUST)
  • 1+ years’ experience with monitoring 3rd party vendors (MUST)
  • Proficient in MS Office – Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel (MUST)
  • Strong understanding of the investment book of record (MUST)
  • Desire personality traits and skills: Excellent business judgment, ability to work with other departments and work under tight deadlines, high attention to detail, excellent communications skills and exercise good judgment.
